Crazyhorse Trike Tours

Safe and secure on the back of ‘Crazyhorse’ our Rewaco factory-built trike is the ultimate way to see Great Barrier Island. The rear seat is designed to carry two passengers in comfort and style while they enjoy the unobstructed view and ‘wind in the face’ freedom that only a trike can offer.
We supply the optional helmets and sunglasses, and the experienced driver, while you and your fellow thrill seeker buckle in for the ride.

Let’s head up to 'My Fat Puku Licensed Café for breakfast or lunch. We might as well check out the local art gallery and museum while we’re in the area.

THE TRIKE-ATHLON

Enjoy a trike ride up the island to the hot springs track. An easy flat 35-minute walk sees you at the pools for a good soak. When you've walked back we'll be there waiting for you. Then it’s off to the beautiful Kaitoke Creek where we grab a kayak and head down stream to one of the Barriers best kept secret spots for lunch. Approximately 5 hours.

THE OREVILLE RUN

Let’s blow out the cobwebs and take a cool ride to the hot springs for a Barrier style spa in the bush. The level bush walk takes around 35 minutes each way.
Once back on board Crazyhorse we head up to Mount Saint Paul Estate for a cold beer or wine while you enjoy the awesome view. Then sit back and relax for the cruise home. Approximately 4 hours.

THE AWANA EXPRESS

Pack a picnic lunch and take an exhilarating ride through the island to The Barriers’ own Surfers Paradise (Without the high-rises). Enjoy some time on this stunning beach, book a return time and we’ll get you back home in style.

THE WINDY CANYON CRUISER

This ride takes us up the stunning east coast of the Barrier. Definitely bring your camera! We head through Medlands and Claris, stop for a walk along Awana Beach and then climb steadily up to the highest point of road on Great Barrier, and the incredible Windy Canyon bush walk. If the 100 steps to the top of the canyon don't leave you breathless, the incredible views surely will! The walk takes around 15 minutes return. Once we're back on Crazyhorse we'll check out the Rakitu Island lookout before cruising all the way back to your accommodation. Approximately 4.5 hours.

Why not design your own tour? Maybe you’d prefer to spend half the day doing one of our guided walks and then trike it back home.
