This two bedroom cottage is located adjacent but separate from the Oruawharo Beach House with landscaped grounds around both properties. The cottage has  been designed by world renowned architects Fearon Hay with the interiors  conceived and designed by Penny Hay.  It is a luxurious timber clad pavilion like building with timber interiors and extensive glazing providing outstanding  views of the sea and the wonderful rugged landform of the Great Barrier Island.

The property can only be accessed by your *own 4 wheel drive vehicle or on foot across an estuary and farmland.
A footbridge provides pedestrian access at all tides but at high tides and in floods vehicular access is not available.
The walk from the bridge to the cottage takes approx 5 minutes.
All guests are welcome to use the complimentary transfer service between the foot bridge and the cottage when checking in and checking out only.
*All rental car agencies prohibit the use of their vehicles to cross that estuary at any time.

The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a super-king-sized bed. (One of which can be split into two single beds if requested on booking.) Both bedrooms are spacious with full sea views, and ensuites.
