This lovely little self-contained holiday cottage has an outstanding private position, with 3 kms of beautiful Pacific Ocean surf beach at its door. Set on 10 acres, at the northern end of Kaitoke Beach, this fully self contained hideaway comes with gas heating, cooking, and barbecue facilities, and is just 25 metres from the estuaries’ edge.
The cottage sleeps 4 people in two queen bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs… The shower and facilities are off the main bedroom upstairs. This is a compact but highly functional accommodation option that boasts the perfect location.The owners live nearby on the property and make sure that everything runs smoothly while ensuring their guests have as much privacy as they require.A dinghy and kayaks are available for guests to use at their leisure.
Paddle across the estuary to swim, surf, fish or just laze about in the sun on the Barriers’ longest ocean beach.

Day One:
You check in at Fly My Sky, Auckland Domestic Terminal at 10.00 am for your 10.30 departure. A beautiful 30 minute scenic flight across the Hauraki Gulf sees you landing at Claris Airfield around 11.00 am.
You will be met on arrival and escorted to your quality rental vehicle.
This package includes unlimited kilometres, a 24hr back-up service and very informative fun map for your convenience. Off to the Cottage... |
Day Two: What is one to do? Stay and play at your doorstep paradise, kayaking, fishing, swimming and relaxing? Or do you hit the road and explore the island?
Take a soak at the natural hot springs, explore the incredible Windy Canyon or visit the art gallery, museum and pottery.
Take a look at the island from the back of a trike or enjoy a boat cruise up the West Coast. |

Day Three: Your flight leaves at 5.00pm this afternoon so you still have plenty of time to enjoy your stay. Lunch at Great Barrier Lodge?
The guided walk at the Glenfern Sanctuary?
Have you had a ride on that Crazyhorse trike yet? When you're done simply drop off your hire car at the airport in time for your 4.30pm check-in and enjoy the flight back to Auckland.
